Activity 7:

Our preliminary task was very similar to our final filmed product which is called "Location H". they both involve big chase scenes which creates great tension and dramatic atmospherees. we as a group really like filming big action packed scenes which the audience can see in both of these pieces.we think that if you have a lot of action it makes it more dramatic and edgy with adds to the thriller theme opening.

Since our preliminary task and final product were very similar, this shows we were able to use the preliminary task and build on what we had learnt from the prelim and improve our knowledge as the editing in the final opening is much better also, we had a better knowledge of final cut pro compared to the preliminary task, this is shown as we were able to add our own animatics to the opening and make better cuts and as we were more used t using the equipment such as the DSLR and the mic which enchanted out filming quality. We were able to learn from our mistakes, such as the blurriness and the bad focus of the camera from the preliminary task and build on the chase element we used in the first task to make something bettering the final product.

Activity 6:

Advantage and disadvantages of the camera equipment:

+ We found the cameras provided were useful as it allowed us to shoot very clear, high definition, good quality shots for our long shots, tracker shots and made it look very real in the way that a real film company would for a thriller.
+ With our camera, we were able to focus in and focus out which gave it this mysterious affect to it which I thought was very cool

- We found it was quite hard to keep the picture steady as we were unable to use the tripod as we needed tracking shots so we had to take off the shaking during the post-production process while editing
- Lighting was also hard to accomplish because of our location which was a damp, dark forest area of a public park.

I've learnt how to work this camera and its tripod which was a challenge due to our location we filmed in. the lesson we had about the dslr cameras was helpful in learning how to operate the camera while in production.

I used final cut pro to edit the group pitch and the actual final product I learn from this house to put together a sequenced of recoreded film and actually make it look like a real opening to a thriller using colour correction.

+ The enhance option on the microphone helped with the sound quality

+the enhance option also took away the background noise which made it easier to hear the contestations in the final product

-there were a few led nosies which the mic did pick up which we had to edit out.

i learnt that the mic could enhance the videos sound quality and they ought me that the edition could be easier because of the microphone.

-video can be long to upload, which took us behind a bit

Bus adverts

By advertising our product on Buses we are able to reach a huge amount of people. Teenagers and young adults are very likely to be using public transport. However not much information can be read from these as buses move fast around places

Ad Shells

We could also just use signs or ad shells which can show more information because unlike bus ads are always still and the audience.

Social Media

To get to our audience we can also use twitter where we can reach the teenage/ young adult audience.











I also created a facebook page where our audience would be updated on the film and could watch the recent trailers or interviews.
