Research : Production logos ( Michael Cranenburgh)

A production logo is a logo used and created by movie and television production companies so that it is unique to what they produce. These logos usually appear at the start of the film just before the action kicks of or at the end of a film in order to show the audience who produced this film and the audience cam usually identify the production company just from there logos. 

Some examples of production logos :  

•  Universal is the fourth largest production company world wide.  It was initially founded in  1912. 

Dreamwork animation was founded in 2004 by Steven Spielberg.





Pixar animation studios was founded on February 3,
1986





Walt Disney pictures was founded on October 16, 1923

Here are many different production logos from well known companies. However, these are all high budget production companies which hire professional staff while we only have 4 people to design logos.

Technical: 3 Point Lighting (Tomasz Wojton)

The Key Light – This is the main light used on your subject. 
The Fill Light – The purpose of this light is to fill in the shadows created by the key light, preventing them from getting too dark. 
The Back Light – This is used to separate the subject from the background.

Planning: Health and Safety ( Michael Cranenburgh)

Planning Health and Safety: 

Health and safety is an important aspect of planning as there can be a lot of risks that we need to prepare for in case of accidents that may occur. By planning , this allows us to analyse all the possible risks that could take place and what we can do in order to avoid this or in the worst case scenario if it happens we can react to the situation.

Abandoned building : 

- Glass can be around the area so we have to make sure we avoid that before filming so we can either scout the location before hand to ensure that where we film there is no glass.
- As one of our locations is a abandoned building there may be structures where it is not safe to enter so therefore we will be consulting the owners of the building or someone who knows it well and ensuring weather or not we would be able to film in there safely and securely.

Planning: Health and Safety (Tomasz Wojton)

If a project is very short-term or employs between 9 and 20 workers, a less formal program is acceptable, but records must still be kept.  The program must include regular safety meetings with the workers, and at least one Worker Health and Safety Representative (not a supervisor or manager) should be appointed by the workers whom they will represent.  

Their responsibilities include:

Identifying situations that might be unhealthy or unsafe for workers and recommending ways to eliminate them

Considering and responding to health and safety complaints or recommendations from the cast and crew.

Promoting safe work 

Participating in regular workplace inspections 

Analyzing incidents 

We are working as a group of 4 so when one of the people is not involved we will want them to look out for any potential hazard during the current scene recording.

We will need to look out for tripping hazards, power tool use, and use of dangerous solvents like paint or dyes.
