Preliminary Task
Final Opening
Conclusion
Our preliminary task and final opening were quite similar, in the sense that it involved someone being chased through somewhere, it includes quite similar shots and show very good continuity, however, in our preliminary task we did not know how to use the camera as well as we did in the final opening and we did not know how to turn off auto focus, the preliminary task turned out very blurry and wasn't as good as it could have been. When it came to the final task we learnt from our mistakes from the preliminary and our shots were clear and in very good quality, which shows how much we have progressed since we did the preliminary task in January. Also, in the preliminary, we only used the camera and so the audio was not very good and we weren't able to hear the people talking very well, but in the final we were able to use the rode mic, for clearer and better quality audio which helped our final product to come out much better. Since our preliminary task and final product were very similar, this shows we were able to use the preliminary task and build on what we had learnt and improve our knowledge as the editing in the final opening is much better also, we had a better knowledge of final cut pro compared to the preliminary task.
Overall I have learnt very valuable lessons from doing the final task, such as how to use different programs such as final cut pro and blogger and how to effectively use the DSLR camera and Rode mic. The preliminary task was very useful in helping us with our final product as we were able to learn from our mistakes, such as the blurriness and the horrible audio quality from the preliminary task and build on the chase element we used in the first task to make something better
